Here at Madison, we believe that communication between school and home is very important, so we have a number of different ways to keep you up to date about what's going on around campus.
First of all, keep checking this website! The site is usually updated at least once or twice per week and includes electronic copies of all paper communications.
You can sign up for our weekly email alerts, to tell you about school, PTA and district events and dates coming up during the next week. These are usually sent out the preceding Thursday or Friday. If you wish to be added to our weekly email list, please send your email address to Christine Garnica at cgarnica@rbusd.org.
Watch out for our weekly information packet, sent home every Thursday. This may include a variety of school and PTA notices and order forms, plus flyers regarding local activities that may be of interest to your family.
Our school newsletter, Madison Matters, is also sent home monthly as part of the Thursday packet. This contains messages and reports from school and PTA officials and students too, as well as photos of recent activities.
Check your child's daily planner (for students in grades 1-5) for daily messages from your teacher regarding homework, and reminders and notices about school activities.
You are also welcome to join us for our regular "Town Hall Meetings", held every Monday morning at 8:15 a.m. on the school playground. These meetings are attended by the whole school and include announcements and awards presentations. (Note: If Monday is a holiday, the town hall meeting will take place on the following Tuesday.)
Finally, keep checking our calendar! All school and PTA activities will be added to the calendar during the school year. You can also buy a hardcopy version to hang at home.
