WHAT IS THE GRADES OF GREEN CLUB?


Do you care about the Earth? Do you want to learn ways to help the environment while having fun with friends? Do you want to help plan a Green Festival at Madison on Saturday, March 7th? Then come join the Grades of Green Club!

Through the PTA sponsored Grades of Green Club, we hope to inspire and empower kids and the broader school community to care for the environment

 

How Does It Work?

 

We will meet one Monday a month from 2:40 - 3:20 in Room 7.  Our first meeting will be Monday, November 3, 2014.

Additional meeting dates are : December 1st, January 12th, February 2nd, March 2nd, and April 20th.

You must return a signed Permission Slip to participate (see Locker in the lower left corner).

Reducing, reusing and recycling -- the three Rs -- are the ways consumers can minimize the volume of waste they generate.

Fast fact: The items people throw out all take energy to make; many of them are not biodegradable and may take centuries to break down. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Americans produced 4.3 lbs. of trash per person per day in 2009.
